The Legacy Companies is a developer, manufacturer and marketer of home appliances, smallwares and food service equipment. The company was founded on the premise that clients are the most important part of any business. Today, product quality and customer satisfaction are still paramount and placed before all else.
The Legacy Companies was founded in 1998 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as two operating entities: Greenfield World Trade and Asbury Food Service. Greenfield World Trade is a master International Distributor for top foodservice equipment brands. Asbury Foodservice is a manufacturer of foodservice equipment.
The subsequent history of The Legacy Companies takes shape through successive phases of acquisitions and organic growth. In 2008, with the acquisition of Zeroll, the company expanded into smallwares. Established in 1935, Zeroll manufactures the world’s finest ice cream scoops, spades, dishers and smallwares. In 2009, with the purchase of Omega, the company expanded into juicers, high-performance blenders and beverage equipment. Omega, established in the 1950’s, is an iconic brand and specialist in the health & wellness appliance segment. In early 2011, Blakeslee was acquired. Blakeslee, established in 1880 and manufactured in Addison, IL, is a global leader in commercial dishwashing and food prep equipment. In late 2011, The Legacy Companies acquired Excalibur. Excalibur is the leading dehydrator brand worldwide and manufactured in Sacramento, CA.
