FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – January 5, 2024The Legacy Companies, a global leader in premium kitchen and food service equipment, announces today that it has acquired the electric kitchen countertop appliance product line and the non-electric kitchen smallwares and utensils product line of Team International Group of America, Inc. d/b/a Kalorik. Terms of the asset purchase transaction were not disclosed. The Kalorik brand is a strong complement to the existing umbrella of Legacy brands, bringing top-notch innovation and style at affordable prices.

As it continues to focus on consumer innovation, the deal expands the breadth of Legacy’s brands in the countertop appliances space. The Kalorik acquisition brings the expansion of thin film transistor technology to the portfolio, including sleek, high-definition user interfaces to various product categories in kitchen appliances, featuring large, visually appealing touchscreen controls.

Neal Asbury Elected Chairman of the Board

ROSEMONT, ILL. (Sept. 14, 2023)—William C. McHenry, president and CEO of Widgeteer, Inc., has been elected to the board of directors of the International Housewares Association (IHA), the full-service trade association for the housewares industry. His three-year term begins Oct. 1, 2023 and ends Sept. 30, 2026.

The upright refrigerated cabinets are available in two door, self-closing swing doors or sliding doors. Measuring under eighty/80” inches in height the widths vary from 31 to 33 inches depending upon door style. Refrigerated Merchandiser units are supplied with four (4) PE coated wire adjustable shelves per door, lock and key set and interior LED lighting to display merchandise contents safely. Electronic thermostat, digital LED temperature display and regulate accurate temperature, prolonging and preserving shelf life of products. Not only are controls simple to use, but operation is also energy efficient with CFC refrigerant and foam insulation. Maxx Cold Glass Door, Large Storage Capacity Merchandiser Freezers and Refrigerators are designed for storage and visual appeal to hold and display your foodservice products. Constructed of powder coated black steel exterior and white interior, the glass door merchandisers feature a lock and key set to safely secure contents and is tamper proof. Installation is easy, because the units are equipped with four rollers, two with leveling feet for 1 and 2 door models, four adjustable heavy-duty PE coated wire shelves per door and an integrated condensate pan therefore no drain line connection is required. Simple to use, programmable solid-state digital controls deliver accurate temperature regulation for the operator. Merchandisers have a nominal storage capacity from 30, 50 and 73 cubic feet and utilize CFC free refrigerant and foam making these units ideal for large capacity storage and energy efficient operation.

Maxx Cold Glass Door Ice Merchandiser Freezers are engineered to store and hold up to (54) 8 lb. bags of ice at one time for single door and up to (117) 8 lb. bags for double door units. FT. LAUDERDALE … Food service manufacturer General Foodservice has expanded their product offering with the addition gas Fryers, Ranges and Countertop Broilers, Griddles, Hot Plates and Char-Rock Broilers.


General Commercial Gas Fryers hold 40, 50 and 70 lbs. of oil or shortening in a stainless steel tank and available in from 90k, 120k or 150k BTU’s of natural gas or liquid propane. Operation is convenient because the Millivolt control scheme in 200 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit which eliminates the need for an electrical connection. The fully welded stainless steel fry tank, embossed to reflect the correct oil level, allows operators (Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen staff) to fry foods fast, accurately and safely. Integral fry vat cold zone below tube burners promotes longer oil life and better tasting food/flavor when properly used and maintained as well as keeps debris out of oil to prevent burning to ensure operation is safe. The 6” adjustable legs allow unit to sit firmly on kitchen floor again allowing for safe operation and all models are ETL certified in the US and Canada. Constructed of stainless steel front, top ledge, and header allows
for easy clean up. The dual wall removable exhaust flue is designed with high grade G90 galvanized steel on the exterior sides and back for a smooth finish. General Fryers are safe, versatile and dependable allowing them to adapt to any commercial kitchen design.

General Range and Ovens can handle an array commercial kitchen cooking task. The range top is perfect for preparing soups, sauces, or side dishes, while the ovens large capacity can bake your favorite poultry or fish dish and of course, desserts to perfection! Ranges are constructed with stainless steel front, sides, back risers and lift-off high shelf to resist scratches, rust and corrosion. The 6” stainless steel legs are adjustable to accommodate uneven kitchen floors. Both 24” and 36” ranges feature a welded frame, so sturdy, ranges can withstand heavy-duty operation. Ranges are supplied with 3/4” NPT male connector on a 1/2” pipe, allowing you to connect with either 3/4” or 1/2” NPT female connector. Supply pressure should be at minimum of 4” W.C. for natural gas or 10” W.C. for propane. Oven and range BTU is 30,000, with a manual pilot system, (1 pilot per 2 burners) and the 12” x 12 cast iron open burner crates support daily heavy-duty use. Supplied with two (2) oven racks with adjustable (4) positions to accommodate an array of cooking, trays and dish heights as well as a pull-out crumb tray is accessible from the front making cleaning and maintenance easy for the operator. The insulated oven door assists in accurate baking temperature. Back riser protects kitchen walls from splashes and the lift off high shelf can provide additional storage options for ingredients allowing operator to safely operate range without walking away to grab additional condiments. All models are ETL certified in the US and Canada.

General Countertop Commercial Cooking Equipment product line includes: Charbroilers, Griddles, Hot Plates and Char-Rock Broilers. The countertop models provide ample space needed to grill meats, chicken, fish and vegetables on either a gas radiant cooktop, char rock stones, a griddle or hotplate. The all stainless steel equipment features independent dial controls, sturdy stainless steel legs. Models are field convertible from LP to NG and vice versa. The Legacy Companies, a NAFEM Member, Donates to Feeding America to Support Second Harvest Food Bank.

Weston, FL (August 27, 2020) – The Legacy Companies, a leading food service manufacturer and consumer appliance company, donated spices and seasonings to Second Harvest Food Bank through the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) 2020 collaboration with Feeding America.

The Legacy Companies donated an assortment of over 10,000 packages of spices and seasonings to the Second Harvest Food Bank through the Feeding America Organization. Second Harvest Food Bank serves over 325,000 people throughout 7 counties in California. By collaborating with non-profit organizations, the Second Harvest Food Bank distributes over 12 million pounds of supplemental groceries to families and individuals suffering from food insecurities.

Feeding America is a nationwide organization with a mission to feed the hungry through a network of food banks. It is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working to engage and connect people with food to end hunger for over the last 40 years.
